YEC RYEDALE RALLY

Orgnised by the Yorkshire Enduro Club, the Ryedale Rally is usually held on the first weekend of July in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, just north of Pickering about 30 miles from Hull. The event is designed with big trail bikes in mind and is not as challenging as a traditional enduro. We have previously had a BSA Goldstar, Puch twinshock, some Super Teneres and plenty of BMWs and big KTMs.

The event gives competitors opportunity to ride forest and moorland tracks and trails that are normally closed to motorcycles. The speed schedule is very relaxed and there is plenty of time for a chat with friends at the time checks and even a cuppa half way round on the Saturday.

The route uses some sections of forest 2 or 3 times on the Saturday to allow for petrol stops and is about 125 miles in total. The Sunday route is usually a 30 mile lap covered 3 times.

The course is always well marshalled and never far from civilisation.

There is camping at the start, with toilets and catering on site.

To add even more of a special atmosphere to the 2010 event, the YEC is encouraging more riders of vintage and classic bikes to enter. So – now’
